Hello and welcome to my website. I'm Kate, mum of two and live in Etchingham, East Sussex.
I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR) and I am fully insured. I offer treatments at clients houses (home visits) or you can come to my work place in Biddenden, Kent or my treatment room in Etchingham, East Sussex.
I have always had a deep interest in well-being and health, looking for the alternative/holistic treatment to traditional medicine by using Homeopathy, Reflexology, Breathwork, Reiki, going to a Chiropractor or Bowen Therapist, eating healthily and exercising to keep on top of my health.
I trained with CIBTAC and hold a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology, where I gained an overall Merit. I have done additional courses in Auricular Reflexology, Hot Stone Reflexology, Maternity Reflexology and Infant Reflexology. The learning never stops. I am constantly reading and adding to my Reflexology 'tool' box. All of this helps me to understand more about my clients and what the best action plan is for my clients.
I am also level 3 trained in Sound Healing Therapy.
Reflexology is a gift to be able to offer and I am so pleased I can help alleviate some issues for clients through both Reflexology and Sound Healing.
I also offer courses to parents on infant Reflexology to use with their babies and toddlers. The course offers routines for teething, colic, reflux, sleep and calming.
I look forward to meeting you and assisting on your healing journey.
The concept of reflexology is to add pressure to areas of the foot which relate to areas of the body. Stimulating these points with the therapists fingers/thumbs sends a signal to the brain to send ‘help’ to the organ/system which needs it, encouraging the body to heal itself and restore and maintain a natural balance. It also works to promote relaxation and a general sense of wellbeing.
Reflexology is a non-invasive holistic treatment.
It balances the whole body, soul and mind. Helping the physical and emotional sides together.
Reflexology on the feet is a widely used intervention. The feet lie furthest from the heart, therefore circulation can stagnate here. It is vitally important to keep blood circulating back up to the heart to avoid diseases and to clear waste products, such as uric acid and calcium crystals. These can form in the nerve endings in the bottom of the feet, due to the natural pull of gravity. Foot reflexology can increase and aid the circulation and by applying pressure to these crystals, they can be dispersed and carried away in the blood. Foot reflexology can stimulate more than 7000 nerve endings, encouraging the opening of neural pathways and the clearing of blocked energy channels. Stress, tension, poor posture and ill fitting shoes can all add to a restriction of blood flow and a sluggish lymphatic system. When blood flow or lymphatic circulation is restricted, oxygen rich blood carrying nutrients and white blood cells find it harder to reach all areas to fight infection, digest germs and remove toxins and waste products.
The aim of reflexology is to release blockages and to restore the free flow of energy throughout the whole body.
